About Nihira

Hope with Dignity & Purpose

Nihira Foundation exists to restore hope and dignity among vulnerable communities through inclusion, empowerment, and sustainable grassroots solutions.

Who We Are

Nihira Means Hope

We are a community-based nonprofit organization located in Fort Portal, Western Uganda, dedicated to uplifting persons living with disabilities, orphans, vulnerable children, women, and their caregivers.

Founded out of the urgent need to address deep-seated social stigma and systemic exclusion, Nihira Foundation provides practical interventions that make a measurable difference in everyday life. We believe true transformation happens when people have the mobility tools, education, and livelihood skills necessary to become self-reliant.

“When you give a person with a disability the right assistive aid, training, and acceptance, you unlock the human potential that transforms an entire village.”
