Our Work

Our Projects

Practical, community-rooted initiatives that advance inclusion, education, dignity, and resilience for vulnerable people and households.

Our Project Areas

Five project pillars shaping practical community transformation.

At Nihira Foundation, each project responds to real-life needs with practical support, local participation, and a long-term view of dignity and resilience.

Pillar One

Disability inclusion, rights, and anti-stigma action

Nihira Foundation promotes inclusion by confronting stigma and discrimination through advocacy, public education, and community dialogue. We work with families, schools, and local leaders so vulnerable people are seen, valued, and supported in everyday community life.

This pillar helps create safer and more welcoming communities where persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups can participate with dignity, confidence, and hope.

Pillar Two

Education, assistive support, and accessible learning spaces

We support education and health access through assessments for assistive devices and learning aids, improved access to supportive tools, and efforts that make schools and public spaces more usable for persons with disabilities.

By helping learners access the right support and by strengthening inclusive environments, this pillar opens doors to education, participation, and long-term confidence.

Pillar Three

Livelihoods, group training, and household resilience

Economic empowerment at Nihira Foundation begins with household assessments and grouping, then grows through market-oriented business skills training, financial empowerment, and practical support for income-generating activities.

We also strengthen savings and credit activities so participants can build stability together and move toward more independent and resilient livelihoods.

Pillar Four

Vocational training and inclusive community support spaces

This pillar supports vocational training for vulnerable groups and helps establish inclusive centers where people can learn practical skills, find encouragement, and connect to support services within their communities.

The goal is to create spaces that build confidence, strengthen belonging, and equip people with realistic pathways toward opportunity and self-reliance.

Pillar Five

Nutrition support and community-based food security initiatives

Nihira Foundation promotes nutrition and food security through practical livelihood support, household follow-up, and community-based initiatives that help vulnerable families reduce daily pressure and improve wellbeing.

By connecting food security with resilience, this pillar strengthens the foundation for healthier, more stable, and more dignified lives.
